According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid ("CMS"), U.S. healthcare spending was projected to grow 7.1% in 2025 to $5.6 trillion , or 18.5% of U.S. GDP. Healthcare spending is projected to grow by a compound annual growth rate of 5.4% annually from 2025 through 2033 , outpacing the average growth rate for GDP and representing more than $8.6 trillion of total healthcare spending by 2033 .
